Overview

Eaton’s ES AMER MFGSC division is seeking a Maintenance Tech II for the 3rd shift at their Dallas, TX facility. This role involves performing intermediate to advanced-level troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform intermediate to advanced troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Modify or construct physical facilities to support operational changes or improvements.
  • Source and procure necessary parts and supplies.
  • Independently execute maintenance tasks in line with industry standards.
  • Operate machining equipment and perform welding as needed for part fabrication and repair.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on process efficiency, cost reduction, and performance.
  • Adhere to 5S+ workplace organization standards.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues in control systems, including hardware, software, and configuration problems.
  • Assist and collaborate with other technicians, leadership, and small teams.
  • Perform electrical work in compliance with MESH 8.0 LOTO procedures.
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and technical guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution is required.
  • Associates degree with a technical focus and a minimum of 3 years of related experience, or a High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Prior experience with metalworking and welding machines is preferred.
  • Proven ability to operate machines with multiple settings or specifications.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and drawings.
  • Must be able to comply with all national and local safety and environmental standards.
  • Ability to work specific shift hours and to work overtime as required.
  • Proficiency in using precision gauging instruments.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow technical standards and maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to proactively work with other team members under limited supervision.
  • Prior knowledge of operating a lift truck, material handling equipment, man lifts, and hand tools.
  • Comfortable working with lubricants and solvents daily.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time (8 to 12 hours) with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Valid driver's license, as travel may be required.

Additional Information

  • The hourly rate for this position is $25.00/hr - $27.00/hr.
  • Core hours are 9:00 p.m. - 5:30 a.m, Sunday-Thursday.
  • Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.
  • Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Dallas, TX will be considered.
