Overview

At Blue Origin, we are developing reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems. The Aerospace Welding role involves supporting the welding of the New Glenn rocket as part of a collaborative team focused on safe human spaceflight.

Responsibilities

  • Operate robotic weld systems.
  • Perform manual blend operations across multiple positions.
  • Conduct precision drilling for internal tank installations.
  • Setup new production work areas, including layouts and tooling.
  • Perform second party verifications and hardware inspections.
  • Troubleshoot and correct discrepancies through modification and repair.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Operate various material handling equipment.
  • Setup and operate precision calibrated tools.
  • Perform routine maintenance functions to support safety and organization.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience in manufacturing, integration, or a relevant field.
  • Ability to interpret engineering models and specifications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills such as Windows and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy items up to 50lbs.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work any shift, extended overtime hours, and weekends.
  • Self-sufficient and driven.
  • Metallurgical knowledge.
  • Expert level in fabricating and using hand tools.

Additional Information

  • Relocation provided.
  • Shifts available: B Shift (Mon - Thu 3:00pm - 1:30am), C Shift (Fri - Sun 5:00am - 5:30pm), D Shift (Fri - Sun 5:00pm - 5:30am).
