Overview

MSA Safety is a purpose-driven company committed to deploying innovation and technology to help protect people and assets worldwide. They are looking for a passionate and motivated Field Service Technician II to join their team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site technical services, including equipment installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and commissioning.
  • Support training for third party users, customers, and associate employees on equipment installation, use, and maintenance.
  • Review construction blueprints and collaborate with customers, architects, and installers to ensure proper installation of MSA systems.
  • Communicate project and service work status with customers' project managers, port engineers, contractors, and consultants.
  • Assist with technical or sales-related projects, customer inquiries, and general project management.
  • Complete and submit accurate job-specific project administrative information in a timely manner.
  • Maintain service spares inventory and document usage.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years mechanical, electrical, or electronic experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year field experience as a service technician.
  • Technical aptitude and electronics troubleshooting ability.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with FTP, IP protocols, serial communications, and microcontrollers.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently to diagnose and solve problems.
