MSA Safety is a purpose-driven company committed to deploying innovation and technology to help protect people and assets worldwide. They are looking for a passionate and motivated Field Service Technician II to join their team.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site technical services, including equipment installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and commissioning.
- Support training for third party users, customers, and associate employees on equipment installation, use, and maintenance.
- Review construction blueprints and collaborate with customers, architects, and installers to ensure proper installation of MSA systems.
- Communicate project and service work status with customers' project managers, port engineers, contractors, and consultants.
- Assist with technical or sales-related projects, customer inquiries, and general project management.
- Complete and submit accurate job-specific project administrative information in a timely manner.
- Maintain service spares inventory and document usage.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years mechanical, electrical, or electronic experience.
- Minimum of 1 year field experience as a service technician.
- Technical aptitude and electronics troubleshooting ability.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with FTP, IP protocols, serial communications, and microcontrollers.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently to diagnose and solve problems.
