Overview

Manitou Group is seeking a Welder to safely perform welding tasks on heavy and large mechanical products according to specifications. This permanent position offers a chance to join a diverse and purpose-driven team across multiple global locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform weld duties as specified by procedures, layout, blueprint, diagrams, work order, and oral instruction.
• Acquire the 'basic' Weld Certification as the minimum requirement for all weld positions.
• Weld components ranging from simple tacks to complex welds in varying positions.
• Set up and lay out work using fixtures and guides to repair, modify, or fabricate parts and/or equipment products.
• Operate and/or use related equipment and tools including forklifts, hoists, slings, grinders, torches, drills, punches, and tape measures.
• Read, understand, and follow job order specifications, blueprints, work instructions, and procedures.
• Perform own set-ups and/or work from prints and/or job specifications.
• Maintain a level of work performance in accordance with Manitou standards and/or job specifications.
• Perform or assist in other assigned duties as qualified.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with safety procedures, rules, and regulations.

Requirements

• Must have or acquire the 'basic' Weld Certification.
• Ability to perform work standing on concrete for a minimum of 8 hours up to 10 hours per day.
• Willingness to train or work during hours outside of scheduled shift.
• Must have regular and reliable attendance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Additional Information

• Shift Available: 1st Shift – Monday-Thursday 5a-3:30p OR 2nd Shift – Monday-Thursday 3:30p-2a (15% Shift Differential for 2nd Shift).
• This position is located onsite in Madison, South Dakota.
• No travel required.
