Overview

Manitou Group is seeking a Welder to safely perform welding tasks on heavy and large mechanical products. The company values its employees and promotes a diverse and agile work environment across multiple global locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform weld duties as specified by procedures, layout, blueprint, diagrams, work order and oral instruction.
• Acquire the 'basic' Weld Certification as the minimum requirement for all weld positions.
• Weld components ranging from simple tacks to complex welds in varying positions.
• Set up and lay out work using fixtures and guides to repair, modify or fabricate parts and/or equipment products.
• Operate and use related equipment and tools including forklifts, hoists, slings, grinders, torches, drills, punches, and tape measures.
• Read, understand and follow job order specifications, blueprints, work instructions and procedures.
• Maintain a level of work performance in accordance with Manitou standards and/or job specifications.
• Perform or assist in other assigned duties as qualified.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with safety procedures, rules and regulations.

Requirements

• Must have or acquire the 'basic' Weld Certification.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and stand for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Willingness to train or work during hours outside of scheduled shift.
• Must have regular and reliable attendance.

Additional Information

• Available Shift: 2nd Shift – Monday-Thursday 3:15p-1:45a (plus 15% Shift Differential).
• This position is located onsite in Yankton, South Dakota.
• No travel required.
