Overview

Robinson Helicopter Company is a leading manufacturer of civil rotorcraft with a 50-year history of providing affordable helicopters for a wide range of applications. This full-time, non-exempt position involves inspecting, maintaining, and repairing machinery to ensure efficient operation and prevent downtime.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance on 3, 4 & 5-axis machinery including milling, turning, and grinding machines.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical malfunctions on industrial and heavy machinery.
  • Use diagnostic equipment and technical manuals to identify the root cause of problems.
  • Repair or replace defective parts and fabricate new parts using tools like lathes, grinders, and drill presses.
  • Test and inspect repaired machines to ensure they are functioning correctly.
  • Install new machinery equipment and ensure it is properly assembled and calibrated.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Observe and test malfunctioning machinery to determine the source of problems.
  • Disassemble equipment to repair or replace broken or defective components.
  • Perform routine maintenance to prevent future breakdowns and minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Completion of a vocational program, technical school, or an apprenticeship is preferred.
  • Minimum of five years previous work experience in industrial maintenance or a related field is required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Attention to detail and good communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
