Overview

Bowman has an opportunity for an Engineer II, Structural (Oil & Gas) to join our team in Houston, TX. This position will play a key role in our engineering team, contributing your extensive experience and technical expertise to projects in the energy industry.

Responsibilities

  • Perform building sizing and selection, alternative analyses, and other deliverables.
  • Support the engineering, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of facilities.
  • Identify scope changes and estimate impact to effort and schedule.
  • Prepare, review, and approve foundation, structural steel, building, and earthwork calculations, requisitions, studies, reports, BOMs, and designs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in structural engineering, civil engineering, or related field.
  • Three or more (3+) years of experience required.
  • Professional Engineer licensure or EIT preferred.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and analytical skills – written and verbal.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in civil engineering principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in civil engineering software and tools.
  • Understanding of environmental and sustainability considerations.
  • Proficiency in geotechnical and structural engineering principles.
  • Advanced knowledge of industry codes, regulations, and best practices.
  • High level of personal integrity.
  • Strong relationship capabilities.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English.
