Overview
The Welder position at Lincoln Electric involves prepping and welding materials to company standards in a manufacturing environment. Candidates should have hands-on welding experience and a commitment to safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Prepping metals for welding
- Operating mig welder on low carbon steel
- Ability to operate an oxy-acetylene torch
- Adjust material with saw as needed
- Verify all materials are prepped for weldment by the BOM
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Understanding the ISO saw process for initialing and dating prints
- Scan completed drawings to the correct department
- Able to operate computer software to view file
- Fit up components to make weldments match prints supplied
- Knowledge of weld symbols and where to look them up
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED, vocational/technical school, or equivalent work experience
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience
- Basic measurement skills (tape measure, combination square set, etc.)
- Basic blueprint reading skills
- Basic knowledge of welding fundamentals
