Overview

Hydro Extrusions is a world-leading aluminium extrusion business with around 100 production sites in 40 countries and employing 20,000 people. The Maintenance Tech role involves performing electrical troubleshooting, hydraulic system repairs, and participating in continuous reliability improvement of equipment and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Performs electrical troubleshooting and interprets electrical diagrams and symbols.
  • Uses hydraulic system knowledge to troubleshoot and make repairs.
  • Reads and interprets PLC programs and troubleshoots problems in PLC hardware and software.
  • Identifies stored energy and performs all Lockout/Tag-out procedures according to company policy.
  • Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
  • Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
  • Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
  • Participates and is fully engaged in continuous reliability improvement of all equipment and processes.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a similar position.
  • Must be able to understand and deliver basic commands in English.
  • Must be able to use and maintain all basic tools and measuring equipment pertinent to a maintenance position.
  • Must be able to read and interpret schematics.
  • Provides routine maintenance on hydraulic systems such as Oil Gear, Rex Roth, Racine, Vickers, etc.
  • Proficiency in complex combustion/gas train repair and maintenance.

Additional Information

  • 12-hour shift. Must be able to work BOTH day and night shift. 6AM to 6PM OR 6PM to 6AM.
