Overview

Millennium Space Systems, a part of Boeing Defense, Space and Security, is a small satellite company focused on national security space. The Avionics & Harness Technician B role involves assisting in the fabrication of harnesses and electro-mechanical assemblies for spacecraft and ground systems, requiring work on the second shift.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble wire harnesses per NASA.STD.8739.4A.
  • Use harness-related tools such as soldering irons, crimpers, and hot tweezers.
  • Test wire harnesses with equipment such as high potential testers and multimeters.
  • Assemble electrical ground support equipment.
  • Set up test equipment.
  • Perform second party verifications and visually inspect harness assemblies.
  • Ensure product quality and conformance to specifications.
  • Document non-conformances and associated rework/repair.
  • Meet necessary certification as required.
  • Perform incidental related duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 6 months’ experience as a technician in aerospace or equivalent industry and/or Trade School training.
  • Experience using hand tools, repairing and troubleshooting electronic components.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance requiring U.S. Citizenship.

Additional Information

  • This is a union-represented position.
  • This is an hourly position governed by the Cabinet Makers, Millmen and Industrial Carpenters Union.
  • The selected candidate must be able to work any shift, as assigned.
  • New hires may be required to complete training within their 90-day probationary period.
