Overview

Chart Industries in Beasley, TX is seeking experienced pipe welders to join their team. This full-time position requires candidates to work overtime and pass a weld test, playing a crucial role in the manufacturing process of Chart's products.

Responsibilities

  • Joins, fabricates, and repairs metal and other weldable material using appropriate welding techniques.
  • Lays out, burns holes, fits, and welds nozzles.
  • Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine the appropriate welding process.
  • Inspects completed welds to ensure structural soundness.
  • Performs a variety of tasks.
  • Promotes and supports safety and production.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years related experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings.
  • Ability to operate overhead-crane.
  • Familiarity with welding machines and hand tools.
  • Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the welding field.
  • Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Ability to work under general supervision.
  • Ability and willingness to learn to operate basic cutting equipment.
  • Ability to lift.
  • Possesses a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and self-direct.
  • Ability to work well in group problem-solving situations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate with others to solve and analyze technical information.

  • Frequent sitting, standing, stooping, bending, twisting, walking, and occasional crawling.
  • Frequent pushing, pulling, and handling of material.
  • Occasional climbing and working at elevated positions while wearing required PPE.
