As a Welder Helper, you will be responsible for maintaining the performance and reliability of machinery and systems, performing preventive maintenance, assembly, inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision cuts using oxy-acetylene torches, air gouging, and lancing techniques.
• Fabricate and fit steel components according to specifications.
• Repair structural bridge components by installing splice plates, reinforcing plates, angles, and other repair elements.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and repair schematics.
• Order materials efficiently to maintain workflow and project deadlines.
• Adhere to safety guidelines in a high-risk, team-oriented work environment.
• Adapt to outdoor work conditions, performing tasks during all weather conditions.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid Class B Commercial's Driver's License (CDL).
• High school diploma or general equivalency.
• Possess journeyman welder certification.
• Demonstrated expertise with welding equipment and a variety of welding techniques.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and create layout patterns for projects.
• Strong proficiency in mathematical calculations relevant to the welding trade.

• This is a safety sensitive position requiring medical and drug testing.
• Background investigation including criminal history check and education verification.
• Location: Beasley, Texas.
• 10-20% travel required.
