Overview

Fluidstack is focused on building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI, aiming to deliver compute faster than anyone else. They are looking for a Welding Engineer with expertise in AWS D1.1 to ensure high-quality welding procedures and certifications in their manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Write and qualify welding procedure specifications and procedure qualification records to AWS D1.1.
  • Inspect and certify welds across the manufacturing line.
  • Build the weld quality program for a factory producing data center modules.
  • Qualify welders and manage continuity and requalification tracking.
  • Drive down weld defect and rework rates by root-causing failures.

Requirements

  • Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) credential.
  • Experience writing and qualifying WPS and PQR documentation for production welding.
  • Experience running a weld quality program in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience qualifying welders and managing continuity records.
  • Ability to root-cause weld defects and implement fixes.
