Responsibilities
- Construct, install, and repair building frameworks including walls, floors, ceilings, and structural supports.
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and project specifications.
- Perform layout, measurement, and cutting of wood, metal, and composite materials.
- Weld structural and non-structural metal components using appropriate welding techniques (MIG, TIG, or Stick as required).
- Fabricate and install steel supports, brackets, and custom metal components.
- Install doors, windows, drywall, cabinetry, and other finish carpentry elements when required.
- Operate and maintain carpentry and welding tools and equipment safely.
- Collaborate with other trades and supervisors to ensure projects meet timelines and specifications.
- Follow safety regulations and OSHA guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site.
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial or industrial carpentry.
- Welding experience with common construction welding methods (MIG, TIG, Stick).
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, tools, and safety practices.
- Ability to work at heights, lift heavy materials, and perform physically demanding work.
- Welding certifications preferred but not always required depending on project.
