Responsibilities

  • Construct, install, and repair building frameworks including walls, floors, ceilings, and structural supports.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and project specifications.
  • Perform layout, measurement, and cutting of wood, metal, and composite materials.
  • Weld structural and non-structural metal components using appropriate welding techniques (MIG, TIG, or Stick as required).
  • Fabricate and install steel supports, brackets, and custom metal components.
  • Install doors, windows, drywall, cabinetry, and other finish carpentry elements when required.
  • Operate and maintain carpentry and welding tools and equipment safely.
  • Collaborate with other trades and supervisors to ensure projects meet timelines and specifications.
  • Follow safety regulations and OSHA guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in commercial or industrial carpentry.
  • Welding experience with common construction welding methods (MIG, TIG, Stick).
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, tools, and safety practices.
  • Ability to work at heights, lift heavy materials, and perform physically demanding work.
  • Welding certifications preferred but not always required depending on project.
