Invio Automation is an Industry 4.0 automation leader serving high-growth markets such as medical devices, renewable energy, and heavy industry. The Welder/Assembler/Machinist role involves reading blueprints and welding parts to meet high standards of quality and precision.

Responsibilities

  • Must be reliable and work well with others.
  • Willing to learn and advance individual skills.
  • Follow instructions given by supervisor quickly and efficiently with minimum supervision.
  • Provide basic hand tools and equipment needed to build, weld, and inspect work.
  • Read and understand blueprints and rough drafts.
  • Build and weld details and parts to close tolerances.
  • Weld Aluminum, Stainless, Tool steels, Hot and cold rolled steels.
  • Perform brazing, silver soldering, cutting, and other gas welding.
  • Be proficient in Mig (GMAW) and Tig (TGAW) welding.
  • Build jigs and fixtures for welding setups.
  • Perform other shop duties required by the company, including machining and assembly.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of welding experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and work with limited supervision.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Ability to explain how and why specific conclusions were reached.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and remain flexible to changing schedules and demands.
  • Ability to read and understand metric.

What you'll be running

This posting calls for MIG and TIG work. MIG (GMAW) feeds a continuous wire electrode through a shielding-gas nozzle. It lays down metal fast and is forgiving on clean material, which is why it dominates production and light fabrication work. TIG (GTAW) uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode with filler added by hand, giving the operator the most control of any process. It is slow, demanding, and the standard for stainless, aluminum, and anything where the bead has to look as good as it holds.
