Overview

The Welder I is responsible for the general fabrication of mechanical parts, utilizing pneumatic or electric hand tools for tasks such as deburring or surface preparation. This role requires following work instructions and interfacing with machine controls and timekeeping systems.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate mechanical parts.
  • Use pneumatic or electric hand tools for deburring or surface preparation.
  • Follow written and verbal work instructions.
  • Interface with the enterprise timekeeping system.
  • Use and read basic machine shop measuring equipment.

Requirements

  • Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions.
  • Experience using pneumatic or electric hand tools.
  • Familiarity with machine shop measuring equipment including dial calipers, tape measures, and protractors.
