Overview

As an Industrial Welding Training Specialist at Mason Manufacturing, you will shape welders into skilled craftsmen by delivering hands-on instruction and coaching teams in the production of industrial heat exchangers and pressure vessels. This role emphasizes skill development, safety, and quality in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver hands-on instruction for new hires and seasoned welders in various welding techniques.
  • Guide trainees through blueprint reading, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings.
  • Observe technique, evaluate performance, and provide targeted coaching.
  • Administer and document welder qualification tests.
  • Collaborate with various departments to identify skill gaps and build training plans.
  • Maintain training records and track progress.
  • Reinforce safety policies and participate in investigations for weld defects.
  • Assist supervisors with workforce skill development initiatives.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of welding and fabrication experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proven skill across multiple welding processes, particularly TIG and MIG.
  • Fluency in reading and interpreting fabrication drawings and weld symbols.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to teach and mentor.
  • Working knowledge of welding inspection criteria and quality requirements.
  • Comfort operating in a shop environment with hands-on demonstrations.
