Overview

ProMach’s HMC division is seeking a talented Welder to contribute to the success of the company by welding steel, stainless steel, and aluminum while showcasing mig and tig welding skills. The company offers a modern, clean, safe, and climate-controlled facility focused on producing world-class packaging equipment for a global customer base.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mig and tig welding of steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
  • Read and interpret technical blueprints and design models.
  • Measure and inspect completed work to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Assist fabrication and production teams as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years welding experience, preferably with steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
  • Experience with mig and tig welding.
  • Experience with fabrication machines including rollers, benders, shears, etc. is a plus.
  • Excellent safety practices and mindset.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and engage in multiple jobs simultaneously.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Ability to take direction and follow through with assignments.
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week and maintain good attendance.
  • Must work well in a team and collaborative environment.

What you'll be running

This posting calls for MIG and TIG work. MIG (GMAW) feeds a continuous wire electrode through a shielding-gas nozzle. It lays down metal fast and is forgiving on clean material, which is why it dominates production and light fabrication work. TIG (GTAW) uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode with filler added by hand, giving the operator the most control of any process. It is slow, demanding, and the standard for stainless, aluminum, and anything where the bead has to look as good as it holds.
