Responsibilities of the Welder include, but are not limited to:

Mig, tig, and stick welding Pipe, steel, and stainless steel welding Pipe fitting Receives instructions, prints, and work orders for the job Plans details of working procedure, tools and material requirements Fabricates equipment by cutting, burning, and welding various metals Repairs equipment by using welding techniques and appropriate welding equipment Cleans and prepares surfaces to be welded Sets up, assembles, and tacks weld parts Builds up worn or defective surfaces Uses burning equipment to dismantle assemblies and to cut material to size and shape Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly

Qualifications of the Welder include, but are not limited to:

Welding experience Familiar with iron worker, plasma cutter, pipe threaded, and grinders Background check, physical, and drug test required

What you'll be running

This posting calls for MIG, TIG, and Stick work. MIG (GMAW) feeds a continuous wire electrode through a shielding-gas nozzle. It lays down metal fast and is forgiving on clean material, which is why it dominates production and light fabrication work. TIG (GTAW) uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode with filler added by hand, giving the operator the most control of any process. It is slow, demanding, and the standard for stainless, aluminum, and anything where the bead has to look as good as it holds.
