Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dependable Welder to perform welding, fabrication, fitting, and assembly work in a custom aerospace and simulation manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for producing welded assemblies in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and quality requirements. Key Responsibilities: Perform MIG welding on steel and aluminum components. Read drawings, weld symbols, specifications, and work instructions. Fit, align, tack, weld, and inspect fabricated parts and assemblies. Operate welding, cutting, grinding, and measuring equipment safely. Complete work according to quality requirements, production schedules, and established procedures. Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition. Perform other manufacturing and fabrication duties as assigned. Qualifications: Demonstrated experience with MIG welding in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. Ability to weld steel and aluminum is preferred. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, specifications, and technical documents. Knowledge of welding techniques, joint preparation, fit-up, distortion control, and material characteristics. Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures, squares, calipers, and angle finders. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a manufacturing team. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous welding and fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment. Ability to read engineering drawings and welding symbols. Experience with MIG welding; aluminum welding experience is preferred. Ability to pass a practical weld test. Welding certification or vocational training is preferred. Strong attention to detail, dependable attendance, and a commitment to quality and safety. Work Environment & Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Frequent standing, walking, bending, and kneeling in a shop environment. Ability to communicate effectively in person and follow verbal/written instructions. Exposure to tools, machinery, and materials consistent with a fabrication shop environment.
