L3Harris is seeking a Specialist, Manufacturing Engineer with a focus in Welding to join their Manufacturing team in Canoga Park, CA. Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot critical weldments ensuring best practices for weld fit-up, cleanliness requirements and weld parameters are followed.
  • Document best practices to support production.
  • Assist with root cause analysis and disposition of discrepant hardware.
  • Accurately report problems, solutions, and results.
  • Communicate effectively between team members and customer counterparts.

Requirements

  • Requires practical knowledge of welding and general fabrication.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience, or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • Preferred experience with E.B welding, manual, In-Place-Tube and/or Automatic GTAW.
  • Experience working with Torch Weld Jigs (TWJ).
  • Experience with weld, braze and assemblies’ specifications.
  • Working with D17.1 or Journeyman Weld certifications.
  • Experience moving large structures or hardware.
