Overview

Bodycote, the world’s largest provider of thermal processing services, is seeking a Heat Treater for their 2nd shift in Santa Fe Springs, CA. This safety-sensitive position involves performing essential job functions associated with heat treatment under the direction of the Foreman to meet customer specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares work for processing; loads and unloads furnaces, bins, fixtures, baskets, etc.
  • Brings any unusual problems or irregularities to the attention of the supervisor.
  • Practices and promotes safety and good housekeeping.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned or dictated by position.
  • Responsible for the care and treatment of customer inventory.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 0 to 24 months of heat treating experience for Level C.
  • 2 to 3 years of heat treating experience for Level B.
  • 3 to 5 years of heat treating experience for Level A.
  • Working knowledge of metallurgy and temperatures.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift operation certification.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

Additional Information

  • 2nd shift hours are 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm M-F.
  • Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen and basic physical.
  • This position is eligible for a $1,500 sign-on retention bonus.
