Overview

Parker Aerospace is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the GTFSD Glendale Facility, an FAA repair station for fuel nozzles used in aerospace applications. The role involves maintaining and repairing machine tools and equipment, contributing to the company's mission of enabling engineering breakthroughs for a better tomorrow.

Responsibilities

  • Setup and prepare N/C machine tools for operation.
  • Make test runs to ensure machines are functioning properly.
  • Analyze, locate, and repair malfunctions in control systems.
  • Maintain standard power-fed machine tools by installing and repairing them.
  • Devise and construct specialized machine tools as needed.
  • Perform major repairs on machine shop equipment.
  • Relocate production machinery and install necessary lines.
  • Assist in the design and maintenance of test stands and fixtures.
  • Setup and operate welding equipment.
  • Check and calibrate new or rebuilt equipment after installation.
  • Engage in shop surveys to diagnose electrical malfunctions.
  • Install and maintain electrical wiring and equipment.
  • Recommend proper routes for conduit lines and list materials needed.
  • Use precision test equipment for various tasks.
  • Plan the sequence of operations for complex repairs.
  • Coordinate and schedule work orders and manpower.
  • May coordinate hazardous material management and compliance.
  • Provide technical assistance on hazardous material safety.

Requirements

  • HS diploma or equivalent.
  • Seven years related maintenance experience or demonstrated ability.
  • Proficiency with pump and valve overhaul procedures may be required.
  • Ability to work from schematics, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
  • Working knowledge of national, state, and local electrical codes may be required.
  • Thorough knowledge of electronic theory and machine shop mathematics may be required.
  • Knowledge of general hydraulics technology may be required.
  • Knowledge of chemicals and their characteristics may be required.
  • Ability to use computer software for reports and spreadsheets may be required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Forklift operator certification may be required.
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are necessary.
  • Ability to work as a team player.
