Overview

Mercury Systems is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to perform various tasks related to production operations on electronics and mechanical assemblies for aerospace and defense applications. The role requires a focus on quality and adherence to IPC standards while working in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Install, assemble and inspect electronic components per documented work instructions.
  • Interpret job routers, written instructions, wiring diagrams and schematic drawings for assembly of electronics.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, leadership and initiatives daily.
  • Perform a variety of inspections to ensure assemblies meet/exceed IPC standards.
  • Perform pass downs with outgoing/incoming shifts.
  • Disassemble and re-assemble, modify, rework assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications.
  • Train new team members.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain security clearance.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 2-3+ years of mechanical assembly experience.
  • Knowledge of ESD (Electrostatic discharge) procedures.
  • Must have meticulous hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to multitask.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to meet production and customer needs, including overtime.
  • IPC-610/620 and/or JSTD 001 certifications or ability to obtain.
  • Must be comfortable with working under a microscope.
