Overview

BSN SPORTS, a leader in team athletic gear, is seeking a TIG/MIG Welder II to set up and operate welding equipment while ensuring safety and quality standards. The company aims to support coaches and administrators by providing excellent service and products.

Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG and MIG welding on steel and aluminum components.
  • Set up and adjust welding machines based on material type, thickness, and welding specifications.
  • Inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Operate fabrication equipment including grinders, saws, drill presses, and other hand and power tools.
  • Maintain equipment and perform routine preventive maintenance.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and safe handling of welding equipment and compressed gases.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Accurately complete production documentation and quality records.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to resolve production issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Proficient in TIG (GTAW) and MIG (GMAW) welding.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of TIG and MIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent.
  • Experience welding carbon steel and aluminum.
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Attention to detail and craftsmanship.
  • Ability to communicate and work as a team.
  • Ability to safely operate welding and fabrication equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage time and problem-solve.

What you'll be running
