Overview

The Marzetti Company manufactures and sells specialty food products, including dressings, dips, and breads. The Maintenance Technician G5 position requires advanced technical skills to maintain and repair production equipment, with responsibilities spanning multiple levels of expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Complete lockout/tagout training and follow safety protocols.
  • Assist other maintenance technicians and learn equipment locations.
  • Perform repair work on production equipment and buildings/grounds.
  • Start and stop key equipment safely and adjust box erectors.
  • Disassemble and reassemble filler pumps and install heater assemblies.
  • Operate all packaging equipment and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
  • Lead maintenance projects and troubleshoot advanced electrical issues.
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC and ammonia systems.

Requirements

  • Pass a standardized test to demonstrate knowledge of trade skills.
  • Ability to lift/move objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Experience with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems and ammonia systems.
  • Familiarity with PLC software and ability to interpret wiring diagrams.
