Overview

Capstone Logistics is seeking Travel Maintenance Technicians to perform maintenance activities in material handling facilities across multiple national locations. This role requires a strong electrical and mechanical background and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexible shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, adjust, and replace AC and DC electrical equipment.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and replace mechanical components.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and replace pneumatic equipment.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and replace hydraulic equipment.
  • Weld equipment as defined by the scope of work.
  • Perform preventive maintenance inspections on plant equipment.
  • Reassemble machines after repair or maintenance.
  • Start machines to determine efficiency and detect problems.
  • Inspect or test damaged machine parts and advise on repair needs.
  • Lubricate or apply materials to machines according to procedures.
  • Install, replace, or change machine parts as per specifications.
  • Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair.
  • Record production, repair, and maintenance information.
  • Read work orders to decide on necessary repairs.
  • Set up and run machines, adjusting controls as needed.
  • Collaborate with others to repair or move machines.
  • Inventory and requisition machine parts and supplies.
  • Transport machine parts and equipment between work areas.
  • Collect and discard worn machine parts.
  • Clean machines and machine parts using appropriate equipment.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in maintenance or equivalent experience; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Ability to solve mechanical problems.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Willingness to use a personal phone for work tasks.
  • Knowledge of hand and power tools.

Additional Information

  • Travel expectation up to 75 - 80%.
  • Must be available to work any of the shifts in a 24/7 operation.
