Overview

The SGT Mechanical Field Service Representative is a position in North America responsible for providing mechanical service and technical support for the SGT 100-400 product lines. The role involves extensive travel and requires a strong background in mechanical services for gas turbines.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a zero-harm culture by following and enforcing EHS policies.
  • Carry out mechanical installation, commissioning, service, and maintenance of gas turbine packages.
  • Plan, perform, and coordinate onsite service and maintenance activities.
  • Supervise mechanical aspects of Gas Turbine Inspection procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of onsite activities and produce written reports.
  • Travel extensively, approximately 80% domestically, and be willing to travel internationally.
  • Perform duties under difficult conditions and on short notice.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 5-7 years minimum experience as a mechanic on Industrial or Aeroderivative gas turbines.
  • Familiarity with strip/rebuild of rotating mechanical equipment preferred.
  • Experience with endoscopic (Borescope) inspections preferred.
  • Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents required.
  • Strong time management, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical reports.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license and passport.
