Overview

The A&P Technician - MRO position involves performing maintenance, repair, and overhaul services on commercial aircraft in a high-volume MRO setting, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. The role requires precision and efficiency while adhering to FAA and OEM standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections or special maintenance to prevent failures of aircraft mechanical systems and components.
  • Determine when a component should be repaired or replaced and secure necessary parts.
  • Repair, rework, and modify worn or defective assemblies.
  • Follow approved maintenance procedures and consult internal FAA approved procedures and OEM technical data.
  • Consult the Maintenance Lead for technical assistance during repairs.
  • Inspect completed work before signing off and perform rework as necessary.
  • Perform serviceability tests on repaired components using specified test equipment.
  • Complete work package documentation after finishing all designated operations.
  • Submit completed/in-progress work to Maintenance Lead for review and Quality Control for final inspection.
  • Provide performance statistics and operational data to the Manager.
  • Properly account for time and materials used in inspection and maintenance activities.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Airframe or Airframe & Powerplant License.
  • One to two years of experience in aircraft repair or maintenance.
  • Preferred one year plus of recent depot level aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Proficiency with interpretation of OEM technical data.
  • Experience using power or pneumatic hand tools.
  • Minimal knowledge beyond the assigned work.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, customer service principles, and FAA requirements for aircraft maintenance.

Additional Information

  • Position is a Friday - Sunday, 6:00 am - 6:30 pm shift.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts if required.
  • Employees will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations.
