Overview

Dura-Line is hiring for a Maintenance Technician in Sandersville. As a leading global manufacturer of conduit products and accessories, Dura-Line focuses on quality, safety, and sustainability in its operations.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude with bearings, gears, sprockets, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps and related equipment.
  • Assist all departments with equipment breakdowns and maintenance needs.
  • Perform basic facilities maintenance as needed.
  • Use a voltmeter, welder and hand tools; check and replace fuses, motor starters, relays, pumps, motors and AC/DC components; troubleshoot electrical circuits.
  • Assist the maintenance crew with rebuilds, shutdowns and installations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
  • Follow all safety rules, policies and procedures.
  • Fabricate equipment and components for production as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or skilled trades education preferred.
  • Basic math/measurement & reading comprehension skills.
  • 2+ years of hands-on mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools and electrical devices.
  • Ability to read schematics, blueprints, diagrams and sketches.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills and experience using maintenance systems.
  • Valid driver’s license may be required.
  • Physical requirements include working around obstacles and fork trucks; wearing required PPE; climbing ladders and equipment; working on the plant floor for 8–12 hours; working around hot machinery, weather and noise; and lifting, pushing or pulling up to 50 lbs.

  • The compensation for this position is typically start at $24.79/Hour.
