Overview

At Allegion, a global leader in security solutions, the Fabrication/Warehouse Associate will join a small warehouse team responsible for the fabrication and material handling of hollow metal products, focusing on quality and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and assemble hollow metal frames and other sheet metal components according to specifications and work orders.
  • Weld light-gauge materials (14 ga - 18 ga) and perform related metalwork tasks.
  • Set up and operate power tools safely, including grinders, drills, detailed sanders, and saws.
  • Read and follow drawings, cut lists, and fabrication instructions; perform quality checks and minor adjustments as needed.
  • Perform material handling duties: unload/load shipments, stage materials for production, move finished product, and maintain organized work areas.
  • Enter basic production and inventory data into computer systems and keep accurate documentation.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years experience in a fabrication or light-gauge sheet metal environment.
  • Proficient with power tools: grinder, drill, detailed sander, saws.
  • Ability to lift up to 35-50 lbs. repeatedly and perform physical tasks.
  • Material handling experience in a warehouse or fabrication setting.
  • Basic computer competency: Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and web navigation.
  • Experience using handheld barcode/scan guns.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Ability to handle complex issues and problems.
  • Ability to understand and follow directions.
  • Ability to pass all required drug screen and background checks.
