Overview

Pregis is a company in the packaging business focused on protecting what matters through sustainable growth and customer-centric solutions. They are looking for a Maintenance Technician to perform skilled maintenance work on various equipment and support the plant's operations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide variety of skilled maintenance work on converting, printing, and extruding equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic systems and control circuits.
  • Repair and replace faulty components or parts and install new machines and equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and maintain parts and supplies inventories.
  • Conduct reactionary maintenance on machines and equipment as required.
  • Plan and carry out tasks associated with special projects on existing or new equipment.
  • Source products and materials and obtain pricing for maintenance purchases.
  • Accountable for parts inventories relative to own needs and replenishing.
  • Perform most types of tool & die and fixture jobs.
  • Work well within a small team to solve collective problems.
  • Communicate effectively with fellow department and facility members.
  • Accept training readily and offer training to fellow department members.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a machine repair and maintenance department or technically oriented position desired.
  • Welding and fabricating skills.
  • Machining experience with lathes and mills.
  • Understanding of machine control systems and electrical schematics.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Proficient in using office software and entering work orders in CMMS software.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical operations.

Additional Information

  • Full-time position with shift work from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM on a 2,2,3 rotating schedule.
  • Overtime expected per business demand.
