Overview

New Castle Metal is a local fabricator of exterior architectural metals for various projects, guided by core values aimed at creating exceptional experiences for customers and employees. They are seeking a full-time Sheet Metal Technician for their Bensalem, PA location to work with state-of-the-art equipment in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Program and operate CNC folding and shearing machines to fabricate light gauge architectural sheet metal components.
• Solder and work with various metals with precision and care.
• Maintain and monitor equipment to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff to unload deliveries and manage material handling using a forklift.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace at all times.
• Flexibly support additional tasks and duties as needed to meet team goals.

Requirements

• Proven experience operating computerized metal folding and shearing equipment, preferred.
• Solder and work with various metals with precision and care, preferred.
• Mechanically inclined with a strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Strong customer service mindset and ability to communicate effectively.
• Basic mathematical skills required; ability to take accurate measurements and read technical drawings is a plus.
• Previous experience in the architectural, construction, or design industry preferred.
• Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
• Forklift certification is a plus; training is available.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
