Overview

Quad is a global marketing experience company focused on helping clients enhance their marketing effectiveness through a data-driven integrated platform. The Entry-Level Night Shift Maintenance Mechanic will assist in the maintenance and repair of production equipment while learning valuable skills in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on web offset presses and auxiliary equipment with guidance from experienced technicians.
• Assist with troubleshooting and repairing production equipment.
• Learn to read and use equipment manuals, blueprints, and schematics to complete repairs.
• Help inspect, maintain, and replace mechanical components such as bearings, belts, gears, couplings, and pneumatic components.
• Safely use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area while following all safety procedures.
• Communicate effectively with press operators, maintenance team members, and supervisors.
• Assist with basic welding and other mechanical tasks as needed.
• Help identify potential equipment issues before they lead to downtime.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous mechanical experience through school, work, military service, automotive repair, farming, construction, maintenance, or hobbies is preferred but not required.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic problem-solving skills and willingness to ask questions.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
• Must provide a basic set of personal hand tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Information

• This position works 12-hour night shifts (6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.), including weekends and holidays, on a rotating schedule of 3–4 days per week (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and rotating Saturdays).
