At TJX Companies, every day brings new opportunities for growth, exploration, and achievement. As a Maintenance Technician, you will perform advanced maintenance work to ensure the proper functioning of facility machinery and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain safe and efficient operation of Distribution Center equipment and systems.
  • Conduct tests, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Interpret blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
  • Lead and guide other associates in safety procedures and maintenance.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to equipment and operations.
  • Oversee and maintain repair, inventory, and maintenance logs.
  • Estimate costs, prepare requisitions, and contact vendors for parts and service.
  • Perform special projects or duties as assigned.
  • Utilize basic electrical skills including the use of a multi-meter.
  • Perform general maintenance tasks including painting, plumbing, and facility upkeep.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in installation, maintenance, and repair of various equipment.
  • 3+ years of experience with conveyor systems and power equipment.
  • Knowledge of building codes, trade standards, and maintenance practices.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC systems, water systems, and building repairs.

  • Evening Shift (Monday-Thursday, 5am - 3:30pm)
  • Must be able to work alternate shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.
