We are looking for a Welder to join our team in Fremont, CA, to contribute to our innovative technologies in solid oxide fuel cells and electrolyzers.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret Work Instruction’s to determine specific welding requirements.
  • Weld horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.
  • Position and clamp parts together in fixtures.
  • Accurately count all pieces to ensure quality control of parts prior to welding.
  • Operate welding equipment according to operating manual.
  • Complete required paperwork in a correct and timely manner.
  • Operate hoist and power lift stand.
  • Load and unload jigs.
  • Perform leak testing checks on finished welding products.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures and/or Work Instructions exactly as written to produce a quality product.
  • Fabricate components for use in a solid oxide fuel cell electrical power generator.
  • Maintain all machine shop equipment and 5S upkeep.
  • Notify management of shop consumables to maintain inventories.
  • Create assembly and fabrication fixtures.
  • Address and recommend improved methods for creating hardware and assemblies.
  • Perform basic job functions as directed safely and efficiently.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • 1 Year Required Experience In TIG Welding Preferred.
  • 2-3 years working experience preferred where hands on manufacturing practices were required.
  • Required Experience In Following Required Work Instructions.
  • Preferred valid certificate in Welding from an accredited institution.
  • Must have mechanical skills and able to use basic shop tools and equipment.

  • This is a fully on-site, in office role.
  • Shift: Thurs - Sat, alternating Wed from 6pm-6am.
  • Location: Fremont, CA.
