Overview

Airtomic Ducting Solutions, located in Franklin, Indiana, is a growing provider of ducting aerospace solutions. The Welder/Fabricator Level One plays a key role in the manufacturing team, focusing on welding and fabricating aircraft engine components in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support safety at all times.
  • Interpret routings and determine efficient repair approaches.
  • Polish and blend products.
  • Cut and prep parts for welding.
  • Cold work tubes, ducts, and manifolds.
  • TIG weld or torch braze thin wall tubes and ducts to aerospace standards.
  • Ensure products adhere to quality standards.
  • Identify potential process improvements.
  • Clean and pressure test products as assigned.
  • Operate an Orbital Weld machine.
  • Communicate and interact with coworkers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Strong work ethic and leadership ability.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Experience welding thin wall stainless steel or nickel alloys.
  • Ability to certify to NADCAP requirements for stainless steel.
  • Experience in Aerospace welding or thin metalworking.
  • Ability to work with precision hand measuring equipment.
  • Experience in setting up work in jigs and fixtures.
