Overview

Invenergy is North America’s largest privately held developer, owner, and operator of power infrastructure, delivering reliable, affordable energy through a diverse portfolio. The Field Troubleshooting Technician - Wind will support the Wind operating fleet with a focus on in-field troubleshooting and return to service efforts, requiring extensive travel.

Responsibilities

• Travel within the US fleet to support Invenergy owned and third party contracted sites on various scopes of work.
• Diagnose faults and repair equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Support pilot projects to evaluate new equipment, tools, and/or processes.
• Assist with managing deliverables and contractual obligations while interfacing with internal/external parties.
• Prepare and implement operating procedures to ensure compliance with all requirements.
• Support High Voltage switching as needed.
• Identify, document, and communicate opportunities for operational and quality improvements.
• Obtain, compile, and analyze information for proactive and reactive maintenance and repairs.
• Provide professionalism and technical expertise while working with minimal oversight.
• Lead, assist, and work alongside technicians in their required job duties.
• Perform on-the-job training functions with site technicians.
• Evaluate and supervise contractor scope and repair work.
• Perform QA/QC inspections at all locations across the fleet.
• Efficiently manage personal travel arrangements.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years wind turbine experience.
• Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather and climb ladders without assistance.
• Ability to move and manipulate up to 45 kg (100 pounds).
• Weight must not exceed 120 kg (265 lbs.) excluding equipment/gear.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship.

Additional Information

• This position requires 100% travel for 4 weeks with 1 week off at the end of 4 weeks.
