Job Description

Overview

Invenergy is North America’s largest privately held developer, owner, and operator of power infrastructure. The Field Troubleshooting Technician - Wind will support the Wind operating fleet with a primary focus on in-field troubleshooting and return to service efforts, requiring extensive travel.

Responsibilities

  • Travel within the US fleet to support Invenergy owned and third party contracted sites.
  • Diagnose faults and repair equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Support pilot projects to evaluate new equipment, tools, and/or processes.
  • Assist with managing deliverables and contractual obligations.
  • Prepare and implement operating procedures in compliance with standards.
  • Support High Voltage switching as needed.
  • Identify, document, and communicate opportunities for operational improvements.
  • Compile and analyze information for proactive and reactive maintenance.
  • Provide professionalism and technical expertise with minimal oversight.
  • Lead and assist technicians in their job duties.
  • Perform on-the-job training functions with site technicians.
  • Evaluate and supervise contractor scope and repair work.
  • Perform QA/QC inspections and provide feedback on best practices.
  • Efficiently manage personal travel arrangements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years wind turbine experience.
  • Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather and climb heights greater than 80 meters.
  • Ability to move and manipulate up to 45 kg.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without employer visa sponsorship.
