Overview

The PB Welder - TDC position involves fabricating steel structures, interpreting technical drawings, and ensuring safety and cleanliness in the workplace. The role requires proficiency in various welding techniques and tools, along with a commitment to quality and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate steel structures for mold bracing.
• Fabricate in-process platforms, carts, fixtures, etc.
• Accurately measure, cut, fit, bend, and weld steel structures.
• Interpret technical drawings and instructions.
• Perform a variety of operations associated with layout and fabrication.
• Ensure all operations are performed safely.
• Maintain all areas and equipment clean, tidy, and organized.
• Conduct daily routine maintenance of equipment.
• Store all materials and tools safely at the end of the day.
• Conduct operations using TDC mold fabrication approved processes.
• Perform housekeeping and other job-related duties assigned by supervisor.
• Promote department cleanliness and tool organization.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• One to three months related experience and/or training.
• General knowledge and understanding of required power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
• Must be able to pass drug/alcohol screening.

Additional Information

• Typical 10-hour workday.
• Typical 4- or 5-day work week schedule.
• Overtime is occasional to frequent based on several factors.
• Required to work indoors and outdoors, year-round and in all weather conditions.
• Safety glasses required while in production areas.
