Overview

Precision Industrial Manufacturing (PIM) is a full-service fabrication and manufacturing provider focused on delivering high-quality products efficiently and reliably. The Welder/Fabricator is responsible for welding and fabricating structural and industrial components to blueprint and specification requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Weld and fabricate structural and industrial components to blueprint and specification requirements.
  • Read and interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Measure and cut materials accurately.
  • Set up fixtures for welding and fabrication.
  • Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
  • Verify dimensions to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Operate fabrication equipment such as saws, drills, grinders, and cutting tools.
  • Assist with fit-up, assembly, and preparation of components for finishing processes.
  • Support field fabrication and modification work.
  • Follow all safety procedures and collaborate with team members and supervisors.

Requirements

  • Strong welding skills in MIG, TIG, and Stick processes.
  • Ability to produce clean, structurally sound welds on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
  • Fabrication and metalworking abilities, including measuring, cutting, drilling, grinding, fitting, and assembling components.
  • Blueprint reading and technical interpretation skills.
  • Proficiency with shop tools and equipment.
  • Commitment to safety practices and awareness of OSHA standards.
  • Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.

What you'll be running

This posting calls for MIG, TIG, and Stick work. MIG (GMAW) feeds a continuous wire electrode through a shielding-gas nozzle. TIG (GTAW) uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode with filler added by hand, giving the operator the most control of any process. It is slow, demanding, and the standard for stainless, aluminum, and anything where the bead has to look as good as it holds.
