JE Dunn Construction is seeking an Ironworker Foreman to support construction activities for various projects, ensuring efficient and effective work by the crew. The role involves both personal task completion and crew supervision, aligning with the company's strategy, vision, and values.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the company's safety culture and mentors others.
• Completes specific assigned tasks using tools on a project.
• Tracks and reports units and labor hours, including timecard submission.
• Maintains proper care and quantity of tools and equipment for production.
• Leads and monitors safety and security procedures within the crew.
• Understands and achieves crew production goals.
• Establishes crew sizes that align with production goals.
• Documents key information such as activities, productions, and crew sizes.
• Communicates with suppliers and coordinates delivery of supplies.
• Maintains established quality levels associated with duties.
• Coordinates other trade work associated with the assigned scope.
• Participates in safety activities like tool box talks and job hazard analysis.
• Reads and understands plans, specifications, and drawings.
• Provides on-the-job guidance and shares expertise to support team learning.
• Coordinates inspections for assigned scope of work.
• Participates in and updates punch lists.
• Manages subcontractor crews for portions of projects.
• Creates and monitors crew production goals.
• Coordinates work for larger crews and other trade foremen.
• Preplans project components including crew size and schedule.
• Coordinates usage of all construction project resources.
• Creates and implements safety plans ensuring compliance.
• Controls costs in production units through understanding variables.
• Supports project quality assurance/quality control planning.
• Applies and leads Lean principles and practices on the jobsite.
• Assists with Materials and Other Costs and equipment analysis.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Vocational/Technical degree in related field (Preferred).
• 3+ years commercial construction experience.
• 2+ years field supervision experience.
• Intermediate communication skills, verbal and written.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Knowledge of organizational structure and available resources.
• Ability to apply Lean process and philosophy.
• Knowledge of self-perform and labor productivity.
• Knowledge of specific trades and scopes of work.
• Knowledge of construction management means and methods.
• Intermediate layout skills.
• Intermediate knowledge of crane flagging and rigging.
• Ability to read and understand plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Ability to assess and optimize project productivity.
• Ability to lead crews and achieve production goals.
• Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team.

Additional Information

• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
• May require periods of travel.
• May be exposed to extreme conditions (hot or cold).
• Must be willing to work non-traditional hours.
