Job Description

Overview

We’re looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician on 2nd shift to join the team! You will perform maintenance, troubleshoot problems, perform preventive maintenance and repair electrical, mechanical, and industrial equipment to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and as needed preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and industrial equipment.
  • Repair cracks, dents, frameworks, and vent tubs on plastic molds.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical issues within equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair basic electrical issues.
  • Partner with engineering and/or electrical experts to diagnose complex non-mechanical problems.
  • Consistently adhere to and champion safety procedures.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • Industrial electrician's license required.
  • A high-school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Ability to assemble and use MIG welders with a high degree of accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to replace bearings, adjust chain or belt tension, and replace sprockets.
  • Ability to complete preventative maintenance and replacement of motors, gearboxes, and drives.
  • Ability to complete preventative maintenance on hoists.
  • Ability to conduct basic electrical maintenance including identify/isolation of hazards, read electrical schematics and complete component repair and replacement.
  • Proficiency with power hand tools.
  • Rotational molding experience preferred.

What you'll be running

This posting calls for MIG and TIG work. MIG (GMAW) feeds a continuous wire electrode through a shielding-gas nozzle. It lays down metal fast and is forgiving on clean material, which is why it dominates production and light fabrication work. TIG (GTAW) uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode with filler added by hand, giving the operator the most control of any process. It is slow, demanding, and the standard for stainless, aluminum, and anything where the bead has to look as good as it holds.
