Overview

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician in Alton, IL for a 1st shift position. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for installation and repair of machines, predominantly CNC, in the fabrication facilities, performing preventative and reactive maintenance on all production equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and repairs machinery using Preventative Maintenance work orders and daily check lists.
  • Troubleshoots, inspects, and diagnoses problems and corrects as necessary.
  • Installs new power requirements for machinery and replaces broken power receptacles.
  • Builds new storage racks for corporate location and all branches.
  • Possesses working knowledge of mechanical/electrical machine practices.
  • Records maintenance and repair work performed.

Requirements

  • Requires a high school education or GED plus additional specialized training in electrical and welding trades.
  • 2 years of Vocational/Technical School preferred.
  • Requires a minimum of two to three (2-3) years of experience in machinery maintenance, electricity, and plumbing.
  • Knowledgeable in various maintenance topics including electricity, plumbing, mechanics, hydraulics, HVAC, pumps, etc.
  • Familiarity with CNC machines.
  • 3 Phase experience.
  • Forklift License required.
