Overview

The Heavy Equipment Mechanic position at SunEnergy1 involves performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs on heavy-duty equipment and vehicles, including trucks and trailers. The role requires a motivated team player focused on diagnostics and preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspection, maintenance, and repairs on heavy-duty equipment and vehicles.
  • Keep track of all maintenance and work completed via various communication methods.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and trucks.
  • Repair or replace malfunctioning components and parts.
  • Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools.
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using diagnostic equipment.
  • Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly.
  • Fit bearings to adjust, repair, or overhaul equipment.
  • Assemble gear systems and align frames and gears.
  • Weld or solder broken parts and structural members.
  • Fabricate needed parts or items from various materials.

Requirements

  • Must have a comprehensive set of tools for mechanical repairs.
  • Ability to work in extreme outdoor environments.
  • Full range of mobility in upper and lower body.
  • Ability to work in various positions for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting 50 pounds safely without assistance.

  • Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance is required.
  • Must display a positive attitude and work well in a team environment.
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance at all times.
  • Responsible for daily upkeep of work area and equipment.
  • Flexible with work hours and able to work overtime as needed.
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed and turned in daily.
