Overview

The Doorframe Welder position involves analyzing and preparing surfaces for welding, performing various welding tasks, and ensuring product quality according to established standards. The role requires adherence to safety procedures and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and prepare areas to be welded according to drawings and work instructions.
  • Run the finish on parts using sanders to achieve desired results.
  • Ensure quality of processed products according to control standards.
  • Repair welding processes that do not meet quality standards using sanders.
  • Run the graffiti of the doors according to standard operating procedures.
  • Perform manual welding, arc-air, back grinding & gouging, and grinding.
  • Perform tractor welding using the Submerged Arc Welding method.
  • Run the gauging of the doors according to standard operating procedures.
  • Perform welding of complex parts such as doors.
  • Educate and train welders while ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Optimize the means and tools available for the job.
  • Avoid unnecessary downtime and ensure productivity and daily targets are met.
  • Fill in all inspection and production forms as required.
  • Attend training programs when called.
  • Perform other related tasks as required by the supervisor.
  • Respect safety standards and use of PPE.
  • Clock-in and clock-out at the beginning and end of shifts.
  • Execute clock-in and barcode reading in SAP stations.
  • Carry out activities related to 5S in the area.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED) or elementary education with minimum experience.
  • Knowledge of standards and safety procedures.
  • Ability to communicate and understand instructions in English.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Minimum six months of experience in manufacturing, assembly, or industrial processes.
  • Preferable knowledge of SAP.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal relationships, attention to detail, flexibility, initiative, organization, and commitment.
