Overview

The Welder/Assembler position involves MIG and TIG welding of aluminum and stainless steel parts to create tanks for truck chassis. The role requires attention to detail and adherence to safety standards while working in a clean and organized environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hand plasma cutting.
  • Fit assemblies to weld.
  • Weld tubing and fittings.
  • Conduct confined space welding for 30-45 minutes per task.
  • Spend 20-25% of time welding.
  • Weld with quality and attention to cosmetic detail.
  • Read and understand blueprints.
  • Work safely and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Operate Miller and Lincoln welding equipment.
  • Operate lifting equipment.
  • Use standard fabrication equipment such as horizontal saw, drill press, and grinders.
  • Operate plasma cutter, cutting torch, and hand saws.
  • Perform quality checks on finished assemblies.
  • Fabricate minor brackets as needed.
  • Adhere to all company safety and operation policies.
  • Use established construction techniques to build tanks.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in conducting quality inspections.
  • Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking.
  • Good eye for detail and understanding of quality levels for tank construction.
  • Ability to analyze problems, detect root causes, and resolve issues.
  • Excellent time management, planning, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Self-motivated with solid interpersonal skills.
  • Awareness of Health and Safety standards in the workplace.
  • PC skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • Diploma or Certificate of welding school or at least one year of equivalent work experience welding similar materials using GTAW/GMAW process.

What you'll be running
