Overview

As an Aluminum & Steel Welder, you will be essential in the fabrication and assembly of metal and aluminum components for carts, ensuring quality and structural integrity. The role involves various welding processes and collaboration with team members to meet production goals.

Responsibilities

• Perform various types of welding processes according to project requirements.
• Weld component parts in various directions: flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead.
• Interpret and follow drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to execute precise welds.
• Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, bolt, or grind spare parts as necessary.
• Follow set up and proper operations of welding equipment to join, fabricate, and repair aluminum parts.
• Test and inspect aluminum surfaces and structures for flaws and defects.
• Work closely with team members across departments to achieve production goals.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding project status.
• Strive to meet or exceed daily production targets while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in welding operations.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work, including types of welding performed and materials used.
• Maintain welding equipment and perform repairs as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years' experience as a Welder in aluminum manufacturing or relevant certification.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and product drawings.
• Mastery of aluminum and steel welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick) and techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and dedication to quality work.
• Physical stamina for prolonged standing, bending, and lifting.
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and time management skills.
• Commitment to safety, including adherence to protocols and OSHA regulations.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changes.
• Maintenance of equipment and tools.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
• Knowledge of basic hand tools and hardware.
• Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing issues and make quick decisions.
• Understanding quality control processes and dedication to producing high-quality products.
