As part of Magna International, Magna Energy Storage Systems Group develops and manufactures innovative fuel tank systems and components for heavy-duty trucks and passenger cars, specializing in plug-in hybrids.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-line inspection.
  • Perform leak testing.
  • Document repair welds.
  • Utilize camera-offset techniques.
  • Engage in riveting tasks.
  • Operate machines or use manual methods safely to meet production goals.
  • Assess welds for cleanliness and compliance with customer specifications.
  • Repair robot welds as needed.
  • Conduct tests to evaluate weld quality.
  • Collaborate with engineering to address issues.
  • Train other employees as needed.

Requirements

  • Graduation from related trade school or high school diploma or GED.
  • 1-3 years of related experience or a combination of education and experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience TIG welding, with strong preference for aluminum.
  • Knowledge and ability to assess metal structures for repair of damaged welds.
  • Ability to measure close tolerances in both Metric and Imperial.
  • Knowledge and ability to use small tools, operate air/hand tools, welders, grinders, and buffing machines.
