Overview

The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for conducting maintenance on mechanical processes to ensure reliability, repairing and maintaining machinery and equipment, and troubleshooting failures. The role emphasizes adherence to safety and quality standards while collaborating with team members.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct maintenance of mechanical processes to ensure reliability.
  • Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as pumps and motors.
  • Observe mechanical equipment in operation and troubleshoot failures.
  • Oversee mechanical devices in operation and listen for complications.
  • Dismantle equipment to examine parts for imperfections.
  • Inspect used parts for dimensional changes using measuring instruments.
  • Adjust functional parts of devices and install structural parts.
  • Lubricate and clean parts as necessary.
  • Setup and operate metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
  • Start devices to test their performance.
  • Request parts for purchase and implementation.
  • Repair welding as needed.
  • Complete maintenance obligations according to manufacturer recommendations.
  • Perform basic electrical and instrumentation work as required.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area using food grade materials.
  • Assist in maintaining equipment to Food Grade standards.
  • Comply with HR policies and procedures.
  • Comply with relevant employment laws.
  • Participate in sharing knowledge to enhance the maintenance team.
  • Regularly communicate with other employees regarding ongoing repairs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of industrial maintenance experience or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical terminology.
  • Ability to recognize problems with various types of industrial machinery.
  • Knowledge of laser alignment.
  • Repair welding experience.
  • Basic electrical and instrumentation knowledge.
  • Experience in food processing.
  • In-depth understanding of mechanical components such as gears and bearings.
  • In-depth understanding of processing equipment like pumps and conveyors.
